Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mekami website at mekami.com and the Mekami Android application (together, the “Service”), operated by Akudreams LTD (“Mekami”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to them, you must not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

To access features such as logging games, writing reviews, and following other members, you must create an account. Accounts are created via Google Sign-In and are subject to Google's own terms of service.

• —You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• —You must not share your account with or transfer it to any other person.
• —You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
• —We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The Service allows you to submit content including reviews, ratings, list names, and profile information (“User Content”). You retain ownership of any User Content you submit.

By submitting User Content, you grant Mekami a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You warrant that your User Content:

• —does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights;
• —is not defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful;
• —does not contain spam, advertising, or unsolicited commercial messages;
• —does not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service or its users.

You agree not to:

• —use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates applicable law;
• —scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written consent;
• —attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure;
• —harass, threaten, or abuse other users;
• —create multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or ban;
• —use automated means to interact with the Service without our written consent.

The Mekami name, logo, and all original content created by us — including the design, layout, and underlying code of the Service — are the property of Akudreams LTD and are protected by United Kingdom and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Game titles, box art, screenshots, and related assets displayed on the Service belong to their respective developers and publishers. Mekami does not claim ownership of any third-party game assets.

The Service uses Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication and data storage, and Google Sign-In for account creation. Your use of these services is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services linked from or integrated with Mekami.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Akudreams LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed £100 or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. On deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we are required to do so by law.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
